Funding and Running Projects

Emmy-Noether program

The junior group is mainly funded by the Emmy-Noether program of the German Research Foundation for a period of six years.

The funding has been given for the project Accurate, Exascale-Ready Methods for Theoretical Core-Level Spectroscopy of Complex Materials.

ERC Starting Grant

D. Golze has been recently awarded with an ERC Starting Grant (2024 call) for the project “Accurate simulations of photochemical and photophysical processes at materials interfaces (PhotoMat)”.

Collaborative Research Centre (CRC) 1415

The junior group participates with project C07 in the second funding phase of the CRC 1415 and will develop and apply methods for vibrational spectroscopy of 2D materials. The second funding phase started July 2024. Read more.

Research Training Group (RTG) 2861

We are also part of the RTG 2861 (project C2) developing methods for planar carbon lattices. The RTG started in spring 2023. Read more.

Inno4scale Innovation Studies

The Exa4GW consortium – D. Golze (TUD) and J. Wilhelm (Uni Regensburg) – received funding for one year (start February 2023) to accelerate large-scale GW calculations.
